We build companies around opportunities we identify, and we also team with entrepreneurs and established companies to commercialize promising ideas, technologies, and new product lines. In each case, we combine technology, people, capital, and a repeatable path from concept to market around shared value creation. Every opportunity is different, so we structure each relationship around the people, technology, capital, and existing ownership already involved.
Our work spans defense and public safety, secure communications, underwater exploration, medical technology, consumer products, and other emerging markets. Sometimes the opportunity begins inside Wild Manta. Sometimes we team with an entrepreneur. Sometimes we partner with an established company seeking to commercialize something new. The industries and starting points change, but the discipline does not: identify a real problem, create a practical advantage, build a product line around it, and structure the team and business for shared success.
Wild Manta does more than develop a product. In our own ventures, we create the enabling technology, establish the intellectual-property and product roadmap, recruit leadership, help raise early capital, and build the foundation for an independent company. We also team with entrepreneurs and established companies when our combined capabilities can turn an opportunity into a successful product line, business, or new company.
